SUMMARY
Ana Melissa Torres joined the firm in 2013 and became an associate in 2018.Ms. Torres concentrates in providing HNW individuals, as well as local and international companies, with customized assistance and legal advice on corporate matters involving Panamanian companies and Private Interest Foundations.
Ms. Torres routinely assists large business groups in their corporate management. Her practice includes formations, relocations, mergers, transfers of administration, reorganizations and restructurings of corporate entities. She joined the team responsible for the acquisition of 30% interest in Cervecería Nacional Dominicana (CND), the leading beer company in the Caribbean, by Ambev, which included advising E. León Jimenes group in their corporate restructuring after the acquisition. She was also part of the team responsible for Inchcape acquisition of Grupo Rudelman, one of the leading car dealership companies in Central America.
Furthermore, Ms. Torres regularly represents corporate clients as a direct liaison with a wide network of internationally recognized banks and financial institutions for the opening of bank and investments accounts. She works closely with ARIFA´s Compliance Department in the process of reviewing new and existing clients for compliance purposes.
Ms. Torres is an active pro bono lawyer and is committed to community service.
