Successful representation of Fursys before the Third Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice of Panama

Fursys, S.A., a local company in the furniture business, and its legal representatives had been disabled for ten (10) years, by a resolution of the Panama Canal Authority, to participate as contractors in public tenders of such Authority.

Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega successfully represented the interests of Fursys, S.A. before the Third Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice of Panama, and obtained a decision declaring null and void the resolution issued by the Panama Canal, and therefore permitting Fursys, S.A. and its legal representatives to continue participating as contractors in public tenders of the Panama Canal Authority.

This matter involved complex legal considerations, in addition to the fact that the Panama Canal Authority was involved in the dispute and that administrative resolutions are rarely declared null and void by the Third Chamber of the Supreme Court of Panama. The success regarding this matter confirms the ARIFA’s leadership in the field of Administrative Litigation.
