Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega represented a US investor, who advanced funds in excess of US$1.5 million as participation in a timber extraction and farming project in Bocas del Toro.  After a considerable period of time elapsed without the project taking off, the investor started to believe he had been defrauded. ARIFA intervened before the counterparties, forcing a settlement and recovering the client's investment.
