Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega successfully represented the Panamanian newspaper El Panamá América in a lawsuit for slander and defamation for US$20 million filed against such newspaper by Mr. Winston Spadafora, a former president of the Supreme Court of Justice of Panama. 

ARIFA obtained a final and binding decision that only ordered the newspaper to pay the former President of the Supreme Court the sum of US$20,000 instead of the US$20million originally claimed.
